The Memorial Ceremony was held at Nairobi School Grounds in a natural open air setting beneath the canopy of huge trees.

After the body arrived, The Program opened and warm and glowing tributes were spoken.

Tributes from friends gave way to a speech and poems from the daughters Jalida and Ngalivia

After viewing and placement of roses, the family had a final photoshoot around the coffin.

The body was then transported to the crematorium where as per Halewijn's wishes it was cremated.
